Overview
The Development Director plays a crucial role in driving the fundraising and development efforts of Hot Springs Health. This position is responsible for creating and implementing strategic plans that enhance our fundraising capabilities, build relationships with donors, and ensure the sustainability of our programs. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills, and a passion for advancing our mission through effective development strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies to meet organizational goals.
  • Manage relationships with current and prospective donors, ensuring effective communication and engagement.
  • Plan and coordinate events that promote fundraising efforts and enhance community involvement.
  • Oversee grant proposal writing and submission processes to secure funding from various sources.
  • Conduct research to identify potential funding opportunities and maintain accurate databases for donor information.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to implement digital marketing campaigns, including email marketing through platforms like Mailchimp.
  • Develop proposals for funding requests, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Manage budgets related to fundraising activities, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Engage in public relations efforts to promote the organization’s mission and initiatives within the community.
  • Supervise volunteer management efforts to support fundraising events and initiatives.

Skills

  • Proficiency in event planning and management, with a strong understanding of logistics involved in successful fundraising events.
  • Strong negotiation skills to secure partnerships and funding opportunities effectively.
  • Excellent relationship management capabilities to foster long-term connections with donors and stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing strategies, including social media management to enhance visibility and engagement.
  • Knowledge of nonprofit management principles, including budgeting, grant proposal writing, and estate planning concepts (wills, trusts & estate law).
  • Experience using databases for data collection and analysis related to fundraising efforts.
  • Ability to conduct research that informs strategic planning initiatives within the development department.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $34.15 - $56.12 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
